2.Develop environmentally friendly adhesives

Water-based laminating adhesive has begun to replace solvent-based laminating adhesive, non-toxic, non-flammable, pollution-free, and safe to use。
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) aqueous solution is mixed with isocyanate or prepolymer to make vinyl polyurethane emulsion, which can replace urea-formaldehyde glue and completely solve the problem of formaldehyde release。
Water-based adhesives are favored because they are non-toxic and non-polluting, but their shortcomings are slow drying, poor water resistance, and poor freeze resistance. The solid part should be increased, the drying speed should be accelerated, and the cross-linking method should be adopted to improve the drying speed and water resistance to expand its application。

Low-toxic or non-toxic solvents can be used, such as cyclohexane, ethyl acetate, butanone , 1,1-dichloroethane, dimethyl carbonate, etc., to make non-toxic or low-toxic solvent-based adhesives.
